Call 911 to report an Emergency! Never report an Emergency to us through email
It is the mission of the North Hampton Fire & Rescue to provide a high quality level of fire, rescue and pre-hospital emergency medical services. These services are provided through a highly trained and adaptable force of personnel who employ modern prevention, education, suppression, rescue and medical practices.
The North Hampton Fire & Rescue uses the air horns mounted on top of the fire station to alert department members and members of the public of an emergency response. By counting the horn blasts we are able to tell where the emergency is located. The number of horn blasts correspond to the box numbers listed below. The box number is repeated several times depending on the length of the number.
The horns are also used to announce the cancellation of school. In the event school is cancelled box 2-2 will be transmitted at 6:30am. The horns are tested daily by transmitting box 2 at noon except on Sunday. The horns are only used to announce emergencies during daylight hours.
