FUNDING RECIPIENT TOWN OF NORTH HAMPTON
PROJECT TITLE 227A ATLANTIC AVE INTERCONNECTION PROJECT
PROJECT ADDRESS 227A ATLANTIC AVE NORTH HAMPTON NH
The Town of North Hampton has applied for funds through the State of New Hampshire Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) to finance a drinking water main extension and interconnection project in North Hampton, NH.
The proposed project includes the installation of new water main and a single service connection to 227A Atlantic Ave. The project is sought due to PFAS contamination identified in the property’s water supply as a result of past handling of aqueous film forming foam at the nearby Fire Department property. The total area of disturbance for the project is approximately 164 sq ft with all the work to occur within existing roadways and previously disturbed areas.
All required permits and approvals will be obtained prior to construction.
Whereas this project constitutes only a minor project, and no significant environmental impacts are anticipated, a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) is proposed.
