Master Plan

As stated in NH RSA 674:2, the purpose of the Master Plan is to establish as clearly and practically as possible the best and most appropriate future development goals for the Town of North Hampton. The Master Plan aids the Planning Board in its duty to design ordinances that preserve the unique quality of life and culture in the community. The Master Plan also guides the Planning Board in the performance of its other duties to achieve the principles of smart growth, sound planning, and wise resource protection. The Planning Board is required by law to include vision and land use chapters in the Master Plan. The Planning Board may include other subject matter in the Master Plan to enhance the vision and goals of the document at its discretion. The information included in the Master Plan is considered and approved at public meetings of the Planning Board. The public is welcome to attend and encouraged to participate in Master Plan development sessions.
