Where do I get a new driver's license?

You need to go to the New Hampshire Registry of Motor Vehicles.

First time applicants who hold a visa, permanent resident card, refugee, asylee or employment authorization card (EAD) must go to the main Concord location at 23 Hazen Drive, (603) 231-2371.

For all others, you must go to a Substation and they are open Monday through Friday from 8:15am to 4:15pm. You may drive on your out-of-state license for 60 days. You will need to bring your birth certificate, proof of identity such as a social security card, your current out-of-state driver's license, and proof of residency such as your New Hampshire vehicle registration or utility bill with a recent postmarked date.
