DC Lajoie

Fire Chief Jason Lajoie
 

Serving since 2002

 

Chief Lajoie was hired as a firefighter with North Hampton Fire &

Rescue in 2002, promoted to Lieutenant in 2015, Deputy Chief in

2016 and appointed Fire Chief in 2020.  He manages the department's 

operations through the enforcement of its rules and regulations,

policies and procedures, conducts short and long-term planning,

prepares budget estimates for anticipated expenditures, evaluates

the need for and requisitions new apparatus and equipment, and

performs other administrative duties.  He also serves as the town's

Emergency Management Director.

Deputy

 

Deputy Chief Mark Cook
 

Serving since 2020

 

Deputy Chief Cook comes to North Hampton from the Exeter Fire

Department where he held the rank of Fire Lieutenant and Paramedic,

having served that department for ten years.  Prior to joining the Exeter

Fire Department, he was a member of the Hampton Fire Department

where he served as a Fire Alarm Operator and Firefighter/EMT. He 

oversees the daily operations of the department and supervises the

lieutenants, firefighters and paramedics.  Working with the Fire Prevention

Officer, he directs the inspections of buildings and properties for fire

hazards, conducting code enforcement as part of the department's

prevention and life safety initiatives.

Lt Henry

Lieutenant Steve Henry, D-Shift

Fire Lieutenant / Advanced EMT

Serving since 2004

 

Steve was hired as a firefighter with North Hampton Fire & Rescue in July

2004 and was promoted to Lieutenant in 2010. He started his fire service

career as a call firefighter in Newfields. He has a background as a deisel

mechanic and is in charge of vehicle maintence and repair.

Marty

Lieutenant Martin Tavitian, C-Shift

Fire Lieutenant / Advanced EMT / Fire Prevention Officer (FPO)

Serving since 2005

 

Martin was hired as a firefighter with North Hampton Fire & Rescue in

January 2005 and was promoted to Lieutenant in 2016.  He started his

fire service career in Plaistow. Marty has a background in technical

rescue training and is in charge of the department’s communications

equipment (two-way radios, computer software programs, etc.) and

specialty hazardous materials equipment (multi gas meters, etc.). 

As the FPO, Lt. Tavitian has been instrumental in conducting a

mutlitude of fire and life safety inspections throughout town.

Lt. Puglisi

Lieutenant Angelo Puglisi, A-Shift

Fire Lieutenant / Advanced EMT

Serving since 2010

 

Angelo was hired as a firefighter with North Hampton Fire & Rescue
in August 2010 and was promoted to Lieutenant in 2016.  He began
his fire servicecareer as a firefighter in Auburn and Rye before
coming to North Hampton. He's a certified HazMat Technician
and is a member of S.T.A.R.T. (Seacoast Area Technical
Response Team). Angelo is also a staff instructor at the New
Hampshire Fire Academy. He holds College degrees in Building
Construction & Architectural Design as well as Graphic Design & Art.

Taber

Lieutenant Will Taber, B-Shift

Fire Lieutenant / Advanced EMT

Serving since 2014

 

Will was hired as a firefighter with North Hampton Fire & Rescue in

February 2014.  He began his career here at the fire department

when he was just 17 years old as a high school intern through a

program at Winnacunnet High School.  He then went onto pursue

his college-level Fire Science degree before his full-time appointment

to the department.

FF Parent

Jeremy Parent, A-Shift

Firefighter / Advanced EMT

Serving since 2007

 

Jeremy was hired as a firefighter with North Hampton Fire & Rescue

in March 2007.  He began his fire service career as a call firefighter

with the Franklin, NH Fire Dept. He holds a college degree in Fire

Science, is certified in Ocean Water Rescue and certified as a

Tactical EMT.

FF Jurta

James Jurta, C-Shift

Firefighter / Advanced EMT

Serving since 2009

 

James was hired as a firefighter with North Hampton Fire & Rescue in

November 2009.  He began his fire service career with the U.S. military

prior to coming to North Hampton. James is certified in technical water

rescue. He holds a college degree in Business.

 

James is a U.S. Veteran.

 

 

FF Chevalier

 

 

 

Colin Chevalier, A-Shift

Firefighter / Paramedic / EMS Officer

Serving since 2015

 

Colin was hired as a firefighter with North Hampton Fire & Rescue in

April 2015.  He began his career here at the fire department when he

was 17 years old as a high school intern through a program at

Winnacunnet High School.  After graduation he went on to pursue

his college-level Fire Science degree.  Colin became a certified and

licensed Paramedic in April 2016.

 

Colin is the department’s EMS (Emergency Medical Services) Officer who

is responsible for coordinating all medical licensing and certifications of

staff members with the State of NH and manages all medical training for

the department.

 

 

Tom Pidgeon

Thomas Pidgeon, C-Shift
Firefighter / Paramedic
Serving since 2017

 

Tom was hired as a firefighter with North Hampton Fire & Rescue in

June 2017. He came to North Hampton with experience as a Call

Firefighter in Newmarket. He's one of the department's four

paramedics.

 

Tom is a U.S. Marine Veteran.

Steven Milata, D-Shift
Firefighter / AEMT
Serving since 2019

 

Steve was hired as a firefighter with North Hampton Fire & Rescue

in June 2019. He's a lateral transfer from an area department.  With his technical background and experience, he oversees the department's inventory of hand tools and equipment.

Greaney

Corey Greaney, B-Shift
Firefighter / Paramedic
Serving since 2020

 

Corey was hired as a firefighter with North Hampton Fire & Rescue
in March 2020. He came to North Hampton as a lateral transfer from
Salem Fire. He's one of four paramedics on the department.

Luke Denio, B-Shift
Firefighter / AEMT
Serving since 2020

 

Luke was hired as a firefighter with North Hampton Fire & Rescue

in April 2020. He came to North Hampton as a lateral transfer from
Hooksett Fire department. Prior to that he gained experience working
for a private ambulance company in the Greater Boston area.
He is currently enrolled in a Paramedic program.

Sam 

Sam Hochschwender, D-Shift

Firefighter / Paramedic

Serving since 2020

 

Sam was hired as a firefighter with North Hampton Fire & Rescue

in September, 2020. He came to the North Hampton

with previous experience from the Stratham and Newmarket

fire departments. Sam graduated from the paramedic program,

was named valedictorian and received the program’s Academic

Achievement Award for the highest scoring average.
