Winter Road Procedures

The Town of North Hampton has Ordinances regarding lawn markers placed closer than three (3) feet from the edge of the pavement. The Town has a fifty (50) foot right of way to push the snow off the pavement, to avoid ice buildup and to avoid road damage. Any marker that is placed at the edge of the pavement will be removed by the Highway Department.

Do not plow, blow, or shovel snow into the Town's right of ways. It is costly to have crews make return trips to clean and treat. If snow is pushed across the right of way make sure it's cleaned up and not piled in the traveled way. If there is a problem it will be up to the homeowner to have it removed.

Winter parking ban goes into effect November 15th to April 15th. Any vehicle parked on the Towns right of way between the hours of 12:00 midnight and 7:00am will be towed at the owner's expense.
