Notice of Voluntary Water Restrictions

NOTICE OF VOLUNTARY WATER RESTRICTIONS

Pursuant to Regulations adopted on September 26, 2016, the North Hampton Select Board has lifted the Level 4 restrictions set out at Ordinances, §6.8 on water use, effective April 11, 2017.

Because drought conditions continue, despite recent precipitation, the Board adopted Level 1 restrictions, effective April 11, 2017. These restrictions will continue in effect until revoked by the Board or upon the Governor’s declaration of the end of the current drought, whichever occurs earlier. Notice of the Governor’s declaration will be posted on North Hampton’s website when it is made and also may be accessed at www.aquarion.com.

A Level 1 restriction means that:

The public is requested to refrain voluntarily from landscape watering and to limit the amount of water used outdoors for other purposes; and,

Landscape watering shall not occur between the hours of 8 a.m. and 7 p.m.  Ordinances, §6.8.5(a)(i-ii).
