Michael E. Maddocks, Chief of Police
Emergency Parking Ban
Due to the forecasted severity of the upcoming storm, the North Hampton Police Chief and the North Hampton Director of Public Works have enacted an Emergency Parking Ban to begin at 6:00am on Thursday, February 9, 2017 and will continue through 8:00am on Friday February 10, 2017. The proper removal of snow by the NHDOT and North Hampton Public Works Employees is imperative for the continuation of Emergency Services, and also to prevent ice build up on the roadways within North Hampton. Any unattended vehicle parked on any State Road or Town Road within North Hampton that interferes with the effective removal of snow may be ticketed and towed.
Residents and non-residents should remember that this Emergency Ban does not waive the regulation prohibiting Overnight Parking from 9:00pm to 7:00am between the dates of November 15 and March 15 of any given year.
The storm is expected to bring significant snowfall beginning in the morning and ending in the evening, affecting both the morning and evening commutes with upwards to 10-12 inches of snow. If Emergency Warming/Sheltering is needed, residents should call the Fire Department at #964-5500. Travel is discouraged.
If there are any questions or concerns about this temporary parking restriction, please contact the Police Department through Rockingham County Dispatch at #679-2225.
