· Little River Salt Marsh Restoration Project
This award-winning project was completed to restore the natural tidal flow in the Little River Salt marsh through the construction of a major culvert beneath Rt. 1A, near the junction of Rt. 1A and Sea Rd. Sponsored by the US Army Corps of Engineers, the NH Office of State Planning, Natural Resources Conservation Service of the US Department of Agriculture, the US Fish and Wildlife Service and the Town of North Hampton, this $1.5 million project will, in time, restore the Little River Salt Marsh back to its natural habitat and reduce fresh water flooding of the marsh previously caused by obstructions to natural tidal flows. This project received several prominent State and regional awards.
