The members of our department maintain high levels of training throughout the year as both learners and instructors. Each member of the department attends training on a regular basis to keep their skills current in the ever changing field of law enforcement and criminal justice. We are proud of the fact that officers of the North Hampton Police Department consistently exceed the training standards set by the New Hampshire Police Standards and Training Council. Currently the department has members that are Firearms/Rifle instructors, Self-Defense instructors, Taser
Instructors, Crime Scene Technicians and Drug Recognition Experts. Presently, four members of our agency are part of the Seacoast Emergency Response Team, all of whom receive significant training in their respective areas of responsibility within the team. Officers assigned to positions of supervision and management within our agency have all attended FBI Law Enforcement Executive Development training as well as management training conducted by the Local Government Center in association with Antioch College. Our DARE officers have received nationally recognized training in the DARE program as well as school safety planning. We also provide the New Hampshire Police Standards and Training Council with instructors to assist in teaching new recruits entering the field of law enforcement.
