Driver's Licenses
You need to go to the New Hampshire Registry of Motor Vehicles. The closest one is the Dover Point Substation. First time applicants who hold a visa, permanent resident card, refugee, asylee or employment authorization card (EAD) must go to the main Concord location at 23 Hazen Drive, 603-231-2371. For all others, the Dover Point Substation is open Monday through Friday from 8:15am-4:15pm. You may drive on your out-of-state license for 60 days. You will need to bring your birth certificate, proof of identity such as a social security card, your current out-of-state driver's license, and proof of residency such as your New Hampshire vehicle registration or utility bill with a recent postmarked date. To get to the Department of Motor Vehilces, take Interstate 95 north to the Spaulding Turnpike (Route 16). Get off at exit 6 and take Route 4 west to the second left. The Dover Point DMV is on the left. If you have questions about licenses, their number is 603-749-4471.
