Permit Fee Calculations
Permit fees are based on the COST of the work and charged at $5 per $1000 of the COST, with a minimum fee of $45
The COST is determined by:
1. Dollar amounts supplied by applicant;
or
2. Basis of square footage at:
a. $65 per square foot New Residential;
b. $25 - $45 per square foot for remodel;
c. $15 - $30 per square foot for Accessory Structures;
Example #1:
New residential permit:
2000 sf x $65 = $130,000 COST
130 x $5 = $650 Fee
Example #2:
Addition of 1300 sf x $45 sf = $58,500 COST
58.5 x $5 = $292.50 Fee
Example #3:
Single story Detached garage:
576 sf x $25 = $14,400 COST
14.4 x $5 = $72 Fee
Commercial permits are figured on the cost as submitted by the applicant.
Certain permits have a flat fee of $45:
