Monday, June 18, crews from the N.H. Department of Transportation will begin constructing bicycle paths on Atlantic Avenue (Route 111) from Hobbs Road to Route 1. The planned finish for the project is August 10.
During construction, crews will be working on both sides of the street and motorists should anticipate travel delays. The Town encourages the use of alternate routes during this time.
The bike path will resemble widened shoulders in the road and should make the route much safer for motorists and bicyclers.
Residents experiencing problems that are not resolved with the crew leaders can call the Town Office at 964-8087 or Ralph Sanders at the DOT's District 6 Office at 868-1133.
A plan of the work to be accomplished is on display in the Town Office.
